Hello, everyone! I read on Twitter (X) that this drama will have a movie, so I thought maybe it's time to watch this famous drama!

Native Title: 君の花になる

Writer: Erika Yoshida

Episodes: 10
Release Date: 0ctober 18th - December 20th, 2022
Casts: Tsubasa Honda, Fumiya Takahashi, Ryubi Miyase, Kaito Tsuna, and others.

Asuka Nakamichi (Tsubasa Honda) was a high school teacher. She has a bright and positive personality and was very close with the students. One of her students was Dan Sagami (Fumiya Takahashi). Due to a case, Asuka cannot teach anymore and resigned from the school. Few years later, she gets a job to clean, cook and basically do everything for a boy group called 8loom (read as bloom). 8loom faces difficulties; they aren't popular and the members have something that conflicts inside their minds. The leader of the group is Dan Sagami.

(Tsubasa Honda and Fumiya Takahashi as Asuka Nakamichi and Dan Sagami respectively)

***

The genres of this drama are music, comedy and romance. Despite the romance, I think this drama depicts dreams and trauma that someone has. The romance isn't really prominent, in my opinion; it's very subtle, to be completely honest.

As viewers already guessed, Asuka becomes the sunshine in 8loom's dormitory. Her bright personality cheers the members. They get motivated to reach their dreams, and Asuka is a part of their journey.

(8loom members)

There are conflicts here and there between the members, but they can overcome the problems. The brotherhood between the 8loom members is also my favourite part of this drama. The characters' developments feel great as well. Another thing that I love about this drama is the portion of each cast is fair, so the casts have their own times to shine.

The plot is interesting as well. It shows the entertainment industry in Japan, and how not all of the idols can achieve their success instantly. It also covers the idols life such as their daily trainings, and how dating news can affect their career, etc. I love that this drama also discusses the trauma, especially the bullying and how it affects someone's mental health. This drama teaches us about chasing our dreams as well.

But, towards the end, I would say from episode 7 to 10, the story becomes less interesting since the conflict feels unnecessary, more like a filler. I especially dislike Dan's character development in episode 8 and 9. I want to tell you why, but it will lead into a spoiler. Fortunately, his character grows in the end.

The acting is good, considering this drama has many faces in drama/movie industry, but there's definitely room for improvement. I expect more from Tsubasa Honda, though. I've seen her from such a long time, and I love her, but I think she needs more practice in acting. Don't come for me, please, it's just my opinion😂

(Tsubasa Honda)

I want to mention Fumiya and Tsubasa's chemistry tho. Although the romance is very subtle (more like a sub-plot), grumpy Dan (Fumiya) and cheerful Asuka (Tsubasa) look so sweet and cute together😆

(I have to include Dan X Asuka moments here ⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡)

And the music! 8loom's songs are so easy to listen and they are honestly the type of songs that I would listen to daily (they are on my playlist already🤭). No wonder many viewers become fans to their songs. They are just really addictive!

(The members seem close to each other, as well)

Overall, it's a good drama to watch especially if you love music and good slice of life drama. I give this one 3,8 out of 5⭐️ because I think the director could've done more about the last 3 episodes🥲 I still recommend this drama, nonetheless👍🏻 what do you guys think about this drama? Have you watched it? Please comment down below😊 see you next time!💗
